Gastric cancer Research

Gastric cancer is also known as Stomach cancer. It is a type of cancer that slowly develops for several years. The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) researchers are systematically identifying the major genomic changes involved in more than 20 cancers using state-of-the-art genomic analysis technologies. TCGA researchers hope to identify specific gene changes linked to H. pylori infection, to different stages of stomach cancer and to different sub-types of stomach cancer.

stomach are among the cancers whose risk is increased in people with AIDS.

What do Gastric cancer patients eat?
An important part of treatment for stomach cancer is a nutritional diet with the correct amount of vitamins, minerals, proteins and calories to maintain strength and aid in the healing process. They drink extra milk and eating more eggs and cheese are good ways to get protein. Food contains more fat content will be taken like butter or puddings.

Stomach cancer patients need extra iron, calcium and vitamin D from their diets. So they takes Sardines, cabbage, broccoli, milk, eggs, cheese and bread provide calcium. They
also eat food with iron content. Red meat is more easily absorbed by the body than the iron found in fish, soy, egg yolk, leafy green vegetables and dried fruit.

Gastric cancer patients have small, frequent, dry meals. They eat slowly without any hurry and drink water only after 30 to 60 minutes of taking food. Eat starchy carbohydrates
such as pasta, rice, bread and potatoes. They keep away very liquid foods and also avoid soup. Limited salt is taken by the patients.

Patients suffering from Gastric cancer will be away from habits like smoking and drinking alcohol. Along with good diet, they also maintains healthy weight. Rest is necessary as
soon as they become tried.

for 15 to 30 minutes immediately after meals.
